Sven Gondry

Formation and experience:

Sven Gondry obtained his Master of Law degree (financial-economic law) at the Free University of Brussels, in 1989.

After his internship at a law firm specialised in maritime law, Sven Gondry established his own office in 1993, with focus on the law of small and medium-sized enterprises.

In 1999 he participates in the project "justice for all" from Lawyers Without Borders in Rwanda (Genocide trials). 

From 2001 till 2007 Sven Gondry is founding-partner of the structure Accomplish-lawyers.

From 2002 he lectures at various institutions for adult education, where he can share his practical knowledge with future professionals.

Since 2002 he also functions as guest professor at the Hogeschool Antwerpen (later Artesis Plantijn Hogeschool), in the formations 'Law for the Clinical Professions', 'Nursing', 'Midwifery' and 'Physiatrics'. Since 2013 he lectures 'Deontology for Physiatrics' at the University of Antwerp and the Free University Of Brussels.

'Medical law' - including the law on patient rights, liability and recovery of honoraria - changes continuously and therefore it is of much interest for practice. That's why lawyer Sven Gondry accomplished the postgraduate training 'indemnity of personal injury' at the University Leuven.     

Sven Gondry is also magistrate ad interim in Antwerp.

Since the first of September 2014 Sven Gondry and his fellow lawyers David Frejlich Tessa Van den Bossche constitute the law firm 'AdvoCare', with 'care for the client' as leitmotif. "Better advise than proceed".

Legal matters:

> Civil law: contractual and extracontractual liability law, law of rent and of co-ownership, personal and family law;

>Commercial Law: from recovery of invoices and protection against creditors to real LABC (Legal Audit en Basic Compliance). Rules of law are becoming more and more complex and many SME-managers are more preoccupied with 'being in rule' than with their core business. That's why Sven Gondry generates a model for his clients, a scenario according to which some essential points of attention are checked;
